How we support you

At moMENtum Devon, we offer flexible, survivor-led support that adapts to what feels right for you.

We run weekly in-person groups in Exeter, with afternoon and evening sessions alternating to help make them as accessible as possible. We also offer an online evening group, creating an additional way to connect from wherever you are.

We understand that group support may not feel right for everyone, especially at first. There are no expectations to attend groups; we will support you in the way that works best for you, and always at your pace.

For those who do choose to attend, group support can be a powerful part of healing. Being alongside others who have had similar experiences can reduce feelings of isolation, help you feel understood, and gently rebuild trust and connection. Many survivors find comfort in sharing space with others who “get it,” even if they don’t feel ready to speak.

Support doesn’t stop at group sessions. You can reach out to us whenever you need, in a way that feels comfortable - whether that’s by text, email, WhatsApp, phone, or face-to-face.

Everyone begins with a sensitively held initial meeting with leaders/survivors Russell and John. This is a chance to build trust at your pace, feel reassured, and talk about what you want and need from support. There’s no pressure, just space to be heard.

Alongside support, we offer opportunities to take part in gentle social activities such as art, crafts, cooking, walking, and spending time in nature. These moments can help rebuild confidence, connection, and a sense of ease.

moMENtum is more than a support service - it’s a community. A space where survivors can feel understood, supported, and less alone, if and when you want that connection.
